It’s actually a big thing in dinosaur culture. Inking out one arm is like icing out your teeth.
Interesting side note - there’s this guy who always hangs out at the Broadway Nassau stop on the A train that has these blinking red and blue LED lights on his shoes, hat, AND teeth. He’s pretty much the coolest guy in NYC. He also sort of looks like a Christmas tree.
